Beyond Buttons and Menus: Reimagining E-Menu for Jumeirah

Redesigning a luxury hospitality app isn’t about colors or buttons — it’s about transforming guest touchpoints into experiences. That was the challenge with the E-Menu platform used by Jumeirah Hotels: a system serving multiple restaurants, each with unique workflows, yet requiring one intuitive, elegant interface.

My Role

As the design strategist, I led a complete UX overhaul — simplifying the complex, aligning teams, and crafting an interface that felt natural to guests and powerful for staff.

  • Mapped guest and staff journeys

  • Reimagined the UI for clarity and flexibility

  • Unified custom features into a global design system

  • Built prototypes grounded in real use cases

The Transformation

The new E-Menu made ordering seamless and customization easy — reducing staff effort, increasing guest satisfaction, and aligning beautifully with Jumeirah’s luxury brand.

 

Why It Mattered

This wasn’t just an app redesign. It was service design in motion — where every interaction reflected elegance, efficiency, and human-centered thinking.
